Review: Instagram

There was a time when people had the perception that you needed a top of the range camera with a couple of hundred pounds worth of lenses to take a great picture but that isn’t the case anymore.

Instagram is an app that was launched in October 2010 which allows users to edit a photo by adding a digital filter to create a professional looking image.

Not only can you take these pictures but you can share them on social media platforms Facebook and Twitter after you’ve created your own Instagram username. Facebook once offered to buy Instagram for one billion dollars and when it was released on android there were over 1 million downloads in 3 days which goes to show how many people love using this app.

If there was ever a must have app in the past 2 years then this would be it. It doesn’t matter if you’re a business or a person, this will come in very handy if you want to give your photo’s a new lease of life for your blogs, Twitter or Facebook posts.

If your after this free app then it’s available through the iTunes apple store for your iPhone, iPod, most android phones but sadly it’s not being used by Blackberry at the moment.

Here is an example, as you can see this is just a picture of a can of diet coke which would usually look pretty dull and boring but with an Instagram effect it looks interesting and professionally done. This is why Instagram has become so popular among teens and photographers. It’s simple to use, easy to get hold of and it brings your pictures to life.
