Short lived. Lasting for a short time only.

e.g. The officer quickly photographed the ephemeral evidence.

Aeon (or Eon)

An indefinitely long period of time.

e.g. The fossils took eons to form.

Extant

Still in existence, but having an element of survival.

e.g. Extant manuscripts.

Interminable

Continual or seemingly endless. Tiresomely long or tedious.

e.g. The strike caused interminable delays.

Timely

Occurring at a suitable, favourable or opportune time. Well timed.

e.g. We aim to provide timely, high quality data.
