The MAL Storytellers

Market Avenue Limited About Us | Anna Woolliscroft

Anna Woolliscroft

Storypreneur and Chief Storyteller

Market Avenue Limited (MAL) has been Anna’s ‘baby’ since April 2009. Anna is a qualified marketer with experience in marketing communications since 2000, a degree in media and cultural studies, and numerous CIM qualifications.

With a background in print and design, digital marketing and copywriting, Anna has a love for psychology and understands how behaviours and attitudes affect communication. She brings this penchant to copywriting projects to address the needs of all personality types and stages of the interest/buying cycle.

During evenings and weekends, you’ll find Anna exploring an old city, savouring underground castle caves, musing in an art gallery or musing in a reflecting museum.

She also re-energises by relaxing and connecting with nature on a picturesque all-day walk or reinvigorating after a tough day at the office on an energetic trail run. On the rare occasion Anna takes a rest, she loves a good crime thriller book, a sci-fi film or a 1000 piece jigsaw.

Market Avenue Limited About Us | Catherine Mountford

Catherine Mountford

Senior Copywriter and Editor

A former journalist, Catherine is a wordsmith by trade. With experience working at top websites, local newspapers and one of the country’s biggest regional papers – as well as a Masters in communication – she has a firm grasp of how the media works.

With design experience for front pages, niche publications and promotions she also has an eye for what looks good.

She has worked as a reporter, sub editor, digital publisher and content editor and now puts those skills to good use crafting web copy, blogs, press releases and social media content.

She has a keen interest in news and politics and loves learning.

Married with two children and two guinea pigs, she spends her time out of work running around after small things. She loves live music, reading, travel – and during bouts of fitness – the occasional sprint triathlon.

Proofreader Jane Reynolds

Jane Reynolds

Proofreader

With a service background with the Police, Local Government, Charitable Organisations and the Voluntary sector, Jane has a wealth of knowledge and communication experience across a wide subject spectrum.

This, together with a B.Sc (Hons) Degree, a qualification in prooreading and a host of other credentials, means that she is perfectly placed to ensure copy is accurate, is full of good quality content and is also well presented. With teaching experience and an interest in readability, she also carries out print and web analysis to highlight any gremlins or barriers to clear comprehension.

Jane is married to Bob, a retired Leading Fire-Fighter, and ‘off-duty’ time usually involves a good book, a paintbrush or the latest film release.

When she isn’t busily working or with her head in an Open University text book, Jane loves to escape to her caravan in the Welsh hills or prepare one of her succulent vegetarian curries!
